If you are under the age of 21, SkiSpace strongly recommends keeping your profile private. The site provides a ‘Profile Privacy Preferences’ option for members to make their profile either public or private. To make your profile public/private, follow these steps (it's not rocket science or race waxing, honest!):1. Visit www.SkiSpace.com and sign-in using your email address and password. 2. Click the 'Edit Account Preferences' tab located on the top menu bar. 3. There you’ll see “Profile Privacy Preferences”. 4. Check or un-check the circle under each category you’d like to keep public for any member of SkiSpace to see, make private just for SkiSpace friends you’ve added, or make invisible (“nobody”). 5. Click the 'Save Preferences' button. If you choose to have a public profile, SkiSpace has no control over who views it. However, by editing your photo albums you can control who can see your individual photos. Back to top. 3. How do I make my photos and videos public/private?1. Simple. Here’s a step by step.1. First, you’ve got to already have the capability to send emails and media (pictures and video) from your cell phone via your service provider. (Whoever that is. T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, At&T, etc.) Contact them if you want to know if you do, or if don’t have the capability and want to add it to your cell. 2. Open your web browser from your PC or Mac and sign in to SkiSpace. Go to your homebase. (“My Home” link in the upper right hand corner of the site.) 3. Click Add/Edit photos. 4. Enter a name for the gallery that you want to use to show the videos and pix you upload from your cell. You’ll be able to set up more than one, but let’s just start with one. 5. Where it says “Mobile phone posting email” is where you get to pick a secret address for your uploads. Insert any word you like into the box. It’s secret unless you want to give the address to your buddies so they can upload pix or video directly to your SkiSpace profile. I wouldn’t. Lol. 6. Your newly created SkiSpace mobile address will appear in the grey colored box. It’ll look something like this: “myskispaceurl.mysecretaddressname@skispace.mobi” 7. Click “save” at the bottom of that page. 8. Now create a new email contact in your cell phone with the new SkiSpace mobile address you just created. 9. Test it. Send your photo or video from your cell to your SkiSpace. It’ll show up in the gallery. Voila! Back to top. 5. When will I be emailed by SkiSpace?Initially we will email you to verify your email address and get you signed up. After that, you’re in control of all the email you receive from us.To control your control (uh, yeah) simply sign in to your homepage and click on “Edit Account Preferences.” At the bottom of that page is the control box for what emails you’ll get and how often you get them. You can also choose to get no email notifications at all. But that would be a little lonely since we’re supposed to be social networking here. Whichever way you want to do it, it’s your SkiSpace to control. From time to time we may send you service emails on items specifically affecting your membership, (such as changes in terms of service for example) but we promise never, ever, ever, ever to clog up your inbox with ads promising bigger… skis. And stuff. Back to top. 6. Is SkiSpace free? Why yes, it is. Back to top.7. How do I change my username, email address or password?1.
